Rupanya proyek Open Office sedang mengalami “sakit berat”, atau “profoundly sick project” menurut blog Michael Meeks.  Jumlah developer yg mensupport OpenOffice.org menurun berat sejak tahun 2004 (lihat graph). 

It is clear that the number of active contributors Sun brings to the project is continuing to shrink, which would be fine if this was being made up for by a matched increase in external contributors, sadly that seems not to be so.    

Bagaimana support Open Office dari Indonesia? Rasanya kok Open Office itu penting dan strategis sekali bagi kebutuhan ICT pemerintah dan swasta.
