Kapan WordCamp Indonesia

Bagi pengguna WordPress blog, acara WordCamp merupakan kesempatan untuk berbincang dengan para developer di belakang jasa WordPress.com dan juga waktu “hang-out” dengan pencipta WordPress (Matt Mullenweg).

Tahun 2007 kemarin acara WordCamp diadakan di San Francisco. Rame juga, di hadiri 200 orang lebih.

Tahun 2008 ini acara WordCamp akan diadakan di beberapa tempat:

Hamburg, Jerman: WordCamp Hamburg baru saja selesai. Berikut laporan pendek dari Lorelle (anggota staf WordPress).
Dallas, Texas: WordCamp Dallas akan diadakan akhir bulan Maret 2008.

Lokasi2 lainnya di AS belum ditentukan.

Bagaimana dengan WordCamp Indonesia ? Kota Jakarta & Bandung kan cukup banyak blogger-nya. (Mungkin saya bisa bantu ngurus dari ujung sini. Anak2 WordPress lokasinya di San Francisco).

The same things it takes to run a WordCamp anywhere in the world. People and money. Honestly. Get three or four good and savvy people, round up a ton of sponsors, and find a place. Then start letting everyone know, including me, so we can help publicize it.

WordCamps are wonderful ways of getting to know fellow WordPress fans and bloggers. The WordCamp conferences do not have to be complicated. They can be simple and fun, formal or informal. It’s up to you. What do you want to do?

@Lorelle, Thanks for the suggestion. I was at WordCamp 2007 in SF and heard your nice presentation. Really loved WordCamp.

I’m fishing for some folks in Indonesia to organize WordCamp Indonesia. They had Blog Party last year, so I’m thinking having a WordCamp shouldn’t be that difficult.

Menarik pak kalau sampai bisa bikin WordCamp di Indonesia.
Apalagi kalau sekalian bawa Matt Cutts, makin heboh.. hehehehe…
